Quilters Trek 2020

Our newsletter brings you the latest updates about our Quilter’s Trek kits and more! Click here to sign up.

This year we were asked to design a 9 inch block that can be sewn together as a row or large block.

Our block is called Castaway Star and by rotating the star units you can make this large block.

We have Quilter’s Trek kits for sale on Etsy.

Our kits feature high-quality Wilmington Prints, and instructions and fabric to make four pieced 9″ square blocks designed by Pam Boatright, our in-house quilt designer. Click here to visit our online store.

Enter to Win!

There are also 2 opportunities for winning a fat quarter bundle! Just bring in your finished quilt made with patterns from 8 different shops and you can get one of these lovelies (first two people to complete a quilt in each participating shop).

The first 80 kits sold will also have a fun surprise in them! One of these collectible badges featuring the state of Oregon!

There are only four of those golden tokens, so if you are extra lucky you will receive one of those! Just for fun, there’s no extra prizes involved if you get one, it’s just an extra special fun souvenir of the Trek!

Extended Dates

Formerly known as the Row-By-Row Experience, Quilters Trek has made some changes for 2020 to help make things easier for shops and quilters alike during these challenging times.

This year, Row-By-Row will run from June 21 all the way through September 8, to give you extra time to finish.

The challenge dates have also been pushed back, to give everyone a better chance to get up to speed. The new Challenge Dates are July 15 through October 15.

Updated Challenge

To participate in the challenge, you must create a quilt using a minimum of 32 9-inch designs from at least eight participating stores.

The first two people to bring a completed (quilted, bound, and labeled) quilt to a participating store between July 15 and October 15 receive 15 fat quarters.

You get a bonus prize if you include a design from the shop where you submit your challenge!

Flexible Shopping Options

This year you can either buy your kit online or in the store. All kits include a pattern and a token. They also have a new shop finder on their website.

We will be offering multiple shopping options for buying your kit. Stay tuned for details!

Downloadable Patterns

We will be offering patterns in-store. Quilters Trek also has some free patterns you can download from their website. Click the image to see the pattern.

And we have a winner!  This is one of our regular customers, Jude.  Her blocks come from Oregon, Washington, California and Canada!

2015: Sea, Sue, and Sam

Our row was designed by Sharon Leahy and it is so cute – the theme this year was H2O, which is perfect for our shop on the Oregon coast.  We wanted a scene with Sunbonnet Sue and Sam enjoying a day at the beach and Sharon did a great job of making the vision come to life!

Speaking of winners, Shelley Nasby was the first one in our shop with a finished quilt using at least 8 rows – she used 9 in her quilt.

The shop rows featured in her quilt include our row plus rows from the following shops:  Everything Sew Nice, Fabric Depot, Mill End Store, Sew Cute Quilting and Fabric Boutique, The Fabric Farm, Forget Me Knots, Quilters Corner, and Speckled Hen Quilts.
